Breakfast

A range of fresh fruit and home made muesli with a choice of milk or yoghurt is an ideal start to your breakfast.

To really set you up for the day enjoy our full farmers breakfast including bacon, sausage, mushrooms, fresh eggs and of course hot toast with creamy butter. A vegatarian farmers breakfast is also available on request.

Evening Meals

We will be happy to cook for you an evening meal, we only ask that you pre-book. This is because nothing is bought chilled or prepared by anyone except the cook. Everything served will have been local produced and cooked with skill and care on our Aga.

Sample menu

Homemade soup e.g. Tomato and lentil, Broccoli and Stilton, thick seasonal vegetable, and a roll and butter

Or

Homemade pate with wholemeal toast


Roast Lamb seasoned with rosemary, roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire puddings, gravy

Or

Beef and Ale casserole, slow cooked with shallots and carrots, either new or creamy mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and suet crust.

Or

Chicken cooked with tarragon and white wine, seasonal vegetables and sautéed potatoes


Apple pie with clotted cream or custard

Or

Banoffee pie with clotted cream or ice cream  

Above is just an idea of the kind of menus we put together here.  A tasty vegetarian choice can be offered if advised. We are open to suggestions and will cater for as wide a choice as possible. If new potatoes and a very varied salad fits in with your requirements please don’t hesitate to ask.  At Hope Farm, we try to make it very much your stay.  The portions can be lethal! Please mention at the time of booking if you prefer to be served a lesser portion.

A three course meal is offered at £ 18.00 per person

A two course meal is offered at £15.00 per person
